Banri Tada works as a waiter alongside Nana, Mitsuo, and Linda during a party. Kōko grows worried after receiving no replies to her texts and arrives to find Banri posing provocatively with Linda. Enraged, Kōko throws a drink at Banri and slaps him. Banri takes Kōko to a fitting room, gives her his apartment key, and asks her to wait. Later, he realizes Kōko has been texting him all day and rushes home. They reconcile, and Banri admits his lingering feelings for Linda, who was a former classmate. The next morning, Banri speaks with Linda by the river, asking if she loved the old him. She clarifies she saw him only as a friend. Banri attempts to destroy their photo, but Linda stops him, understanding Kōko’s distress. She rips the picture instead, and Banri agrees to treat them as strangers. Finally, Banri and Kōko take a new photo together, creating fresh memories.
