Ep. 8: Banri confronts Linda about her past feelings while helping Mitsuo reconcile with Chinami.

A flashback reveals Banri ignored Linda after she claimed he was not a lover, though she later apologized. Banri forgives her, yet remains uncertain about her true feelings. Later, Banri visits Mitsuo, who is depressed after telling Chinami to stay away due to rumors. To cheer him up, Banri, Nijigen, and Kōko take Mitsuo to an amusement park. Kōko invites Chinami to facilitate a reconciliation. After Banri and Kōko meet Chinami at the station, the women bond, and the group enjoys the day, allowing Mitsuo and Chinami to make peace. That night, Banri texts Linda, who lives next door, and they meet on the balcony. When Banri asks about her past feelings, Linda admits she only saw him as a friend. Banri briefly blacks out and shouts his desire to return to that time, shocking Linda. She returns inside, dismissing his outburst, while Banri’s spirit reaffirms his love but acknowledges he cannot leave his current self without disappearing.
