While executing a standard hit in Hawaii, Golgo 13 recognizes Leon Goldman, an aging FBI detective who previously attempted to prosecute him for a San Francisco murder. Goldman instantly identifies the sniper but chooses silence, as he no longer wishes to pursue such minor cases. He attempts to persuade Golgo 13 to depart the scene without incident. Despite the detective's desire to avoid further involvement, the encounter concludes with Golgo 13 shooting and killing Leon Goldman himself, ending the mission with a direct confrontation between the assassin and his former pursuer.
