The American government commissions Golgo 13 to destroy a Syndicate hideout used by the CIA to weaponize animal poisons for black operations. Simultaneously, the government hires another assassin, AX-3, to carry out the same mission. A confrontation ensues between the two professionals, resulting in a shootout. During the conflict, AX-3 receives orders from his handler to eliminate Golgo 13 instead. This betrayal leads to AX-3's death at the hands of Golgo 13, ending the rival's involvement in the operation.
