Ep. 17: Phoenix uncovers Ini's true identity as Mimi and the motive behind Grey's murder.

Phoenix disproves Ini’s claim that Maya, possessed by Mimi, visited the side room after the murder by noting she would have seen Pearl repairing the urn. He deduces Ini hid in a clothes basket, knocked out Maya, and stabbed Grey, who attempted to shoot her. Phoenix identifies Morgan as an accomplice helping frame Maya. Investigating a car accident, Phoenix reveals Ini is actually Mimi, reconstructed with Ini’s face after the real Ini died. Mimi sought to avoid liability for medical negligence, but Grey’s planned channeling ritual threatened exposure. Morgan devised the plot to frame Maya and install Pearl as head of the Kurain school. After Morgan’s arrest and the school’s temporary closure, Pearl encourages Maya to return to Phoenix.
