Phoenix explains that a bust of Max fell on Berry when he opened a heavy box, then latched onto Max's costume, causing Moe to mistake it for Max. Suspecting Acro, who lives above, Phoenix presents a threatening note linked to an incident six months ago. He reveals Bat was attacked because Regina's scarf contained pepper, making Leon sneeze and bite him, proving Acro targeted Regina. With the bust missing, Phoenix deduces Acro hid it in his wheelchair. Acro admits guilt. Moe becomes the new Big Berry Circus ringmaster, and Gumshoe contacts Edgeworth.
