Marta enters Alphonse’s armor to hinder him, allowing Loa to overpower and abduct Al for a meeting with Greed. Edward searches town for clues while Izumi consults Dante, who reveals an emblem pointing to the pub where Al is held. At the hideout, Greed demands to learn how souls bind to objects. Izumi arrives to rescue Alphonse, soon joined by Edward, but they cannot harm Greed due to his Ultimate Shield. The military storms the building before a full battle can occur. During the escape, Greed learns Kimblee betrayed the group but must flee with Al. Edward is cornered by soldiers who order him to stand down and report to Lt. Colonel Archer.
