Ep. 40: Ed meets Rosé and fights Scar while Marta confronts Kimblee and Bradley reveals his true identity.

In Lior, Ed reunites with the mute Rosé, now known as the Holy Mother, before engaging Scar in combat until Lust and Gluttony intervene. At the military base, Marta attacks Kimblee in rage, prompting Al to defend her against Kimblee until Mustang stops the fight. Scar explains his history to Ed, revealing that his brother created Lust and the Philosopher’s Stone, which formed Scar’s tattooed arm and facial scar. Scar plans to use the Grand Arcanum to sacrifice military soldiers rather than Lior’s citizens. Meanwhile, Marta overhears Führer Bradley ordering Kimblee to retrieve Ed’s corpse and discovers Bradley is actually Pride, the seventh homunculus hiding his Ultimate Eye. Marta hides inside Al, but Bradley impales him with his sword, killing Marta.
