Scar instructs Rosé to have Lior residents lure the military without provoking them. Kimblee and chimeras attack civilians, prompting Scar to order evacuations so he can form the Philosopher's Stone upon the military's arrival. Ed writes to Mustang detailing Lior's situation and advising against entry. Meanwhile, Mustang and his team learn about Laboratory Five in Central and Stone creation methods. Mustang sends Alphonse to Lior to find his brother. Archer prepares to assault the city but waits on Bradley's orders. When Lust questions Pride, he cites their master's commands. Frustrated, Lust enters Lior alone to assist Scar. Ed and Rosé help civilians evacuate while Wrath and Sloth confront them. Wrath's weakness is exposed, and he attacks Rosé, who speaks to alert Ed. Scar battles Kimblee, causing destruction. Alphonse traps Kimblee, but the chimera escapes and attempts to transform Alphonse's armor into a bomb.
