Edward and Alphonse arrive at a town following a lengthy walk and the destruction of a tractor stolen by Winry. Following an argument enhanced by alchemy regarding their next steps, the brothers part ways. Alphonse subsequently encounters an old acquaintance named Marta. In Central, Winry meets with Sheska, and the pair resolve to conduct their own inquiry into the murder of Hughes. Their investigation leads them to uncover information Hughes had previously found concerning Juliet Douglas. The two then listen in on a conversation between Juliet Douglas and Envy.
