Ep. 28: Alphonse and Edward confront Father while Ling accepts Greed and Scar fights for escape

Alphonse and Gluttony reach Father’s lair as Edward, Ling, and Envy emerge from Gluttony’s stomach. Father neutralizes Edward and Alphonse’s alchemy, leaving them defenseless. Ling is captured and voluntarily accepts a philosopher’s stone, allowing Greed to possess him. Scar and May arrive, finding their alchemy still functional. Scar discovers Envy caused the Ishbal civil war murders and attacks Father, but his powers fail. After May is injured, Scar triggers a hydrogen explosion to facilitate their escape. Edward fights Greed and is subdued, sensing Ling remains within. Gluttony exhausts his regeneration, prompting Father to extract his philosopher’s stone with a promise to restore his memories.
