Ep. 40: Homunculus: The Dwarf in the Flask

Olivier travels to Central, confessing to Raven’s murder and persuading Bradley to allow her to assume his position. Hawkeye sends a coded message to Roy Mustang revealing that Selim is a homunculus. Father dreams of ancient Xerxes, where Hohenheim was raised as a nameless slave designated Number 23. There, he meets a flask-bound being created from his blood, who names him and teaches alchemy. The King of Xerxes seeks immortality, leading to a mass transmutation sacrifice using the entire nation. Hohenheim awakens alone after the being creates a body resembling him, becoming Father. In the present, Hohenheim encounters Izumi and Sig. Noting her organ damage from the ultimate sin, he rearranges her organs to improve blood flow. He then reveals to them that he is a philosopher's stone in human form.
