They discover Kafu is the evening kite, appearing red at dusk but white at dawn. Mikochi then guides Hakumei to the busy market and port town of Arabi, where she is recognized for her culinary skills. There, she introduces Hakumei to a friend who serves as the master of the café and tavern Kobone.
