Ep. 1: Naru meets Hana Fountainstand and agrees to help form a yosakoi club after a moonlit dance encounter.

Naru Sekiya, a self-proclaimed average middle school student fascinated by fairy tales, encounters a blonde girl dancing in the moonlight. Mistaking her for a fairy, Naru asks to be taken to another world but flees when invited to dance, accidentally taking a paddle. The next day, the girl, identified as American transfer student Hana N. Fountainstand, asks Naru to join a yosakoi group. Naru initially rejects her due to intimidation. Hana later explains her determination to become a true yosakoi dancer despite lacking members. She tells Naru that feeling empty simply means there is room to discover new things. Moved by this perspective and recalling their dance, Naru admits she had fun and agrees to help Hana recruit members, becoming friends with her.
