Mistaking her for a fairy, Naru asks to be taken to another world but flees when invited to dance, accidentally taking a paddle. The next day, the girl, identified as American transfer student Hana N. Fountainstand, asks Naru to join a yosakoi group. Naru initially rejects her due to intimidation. Hana later explains her determination to become a true yosakoi dancer despite lacking members. She tells Naru that feeling empty simply means there is room to discover new things. Moved by this perspective and recalling their dance, Naru admits she had fun and agrees to help Hana recruit members, becoming friends with her.

With assistance from Sally, Masaru, and a policeman, she arrives just in time to perform with the group. Following the successful event, Hana hopes to convince her parents to allow her to stay in Japan. The friends then discuss plans for their next major performance together.
