Hayate and Nagi celebrate his apparent qualification for Hakuou Academy with a party, unaware that Yukiji concealed his failure due to guilt over prior pranks. Seeking to manage the situation, Yukiji enlists her sister Hinagiku, who advises her to act responsibly. The pair attend a large society event at the Sanzen'in mansion while Hayate and Nagi dance. Yukiji struggles to confess the truth amidst the chaos, but Hayate eventually discovers the deception and departs. Outside, Maria finds him on a bench. After a brief conversation, she reveals her student ID and discloses that she submitted a recommendation to the academy, securing his admission.
