Ep. 12: Hayate Reflects on Childhood Dreams and Visits His Old High School

Hayate wakes from a childhood dream and discusses the importance of aspirations with Maria. He takes the day off to buy a new phone and visits his former Shiomi high school. There, he encounters Ayumu Nishizawa, a classmate with feelings for him. Hayate learns his parents spent his tuition money, ending his education. Ayumu confesses her love, but he rejects her by claiming a preference for fictional characters. Upon returning for Nagi, she adds her contact to his new device. Ayumu remains determined to win his affection. Later, she returns videos to Wataru and is taken to Nagi’s mansion under false pretenses involving the Space Police and Tama.
