Wataru notices Saki acting strangely and asks Hayate and Maria for assistance while retrieving a cursed video Nagi rented, which causes a giant cockroach attack. He had forgotten about Saki's coming-of-age ceremony and inquires with Nagi about buying a kimono. Meanwhile, Hayate and Maria battle the insect, with Maria screaming and hugging Hayate in fear. The narrator recounts the story of Saki's grandmother, Rei Kijima, a legendary housemaid. Nagi mistakenly believes Wataru's gift is for Isumi and sends her to his house. After Isumi leaves, Wataru presents the kimono to Saki, who appreciates the gesture. Later, Maria watches Hayate and Nagi enjoy fireworks until a small flying cockroach lands on her, causing her to freeze in terror.
