Lynn competes in a race while Spencer observes. Sarah receives a call from Arthur regarding her father’s arrival from Boston. Cathy informs her riding class and Philip about the event, prompting them to offer assistance. Viv encourages Lynn, noting her father’s support. Mary laments to her grandfather that everyone aids Lynn, feeling guilty for driving her family away. Spencer enters and reveals Mary’s failed attempt to bribe Lynn into forfeiting the championship in exchange for helping George.
