Hanyuu informs Rika that returning to her original world requires locating and eliminating a specific artifact blocking Hanyuu’s entry. This obstruction also prevents Rika’s reincarnation, and if the artifact is human, she must kill them. Initially motivated by this goal, Rika assaults Satoko in response to bullying. However, her perspective shifts as she experiences maternal care and builds friendships with Mion, Rena, and Satoshi, eventually reconciling with Satoko. She begins weighing which world to inhabit until discovering that her mother, revealed to be the reincarnation of Oyashiro rather than Rika, is the very item she must dispose of.
