Masataka Ashiya arrives at the Ugaya residence, introducing himself as a representative of the national court physician's bureau. He presents his services as an urgent necessity, though Suguru and the Shugogo remain suspicious of his true motives. Unable to discern his intentions, they hesitate to respond. Shizuki ultimately defers the choice to Tamaki, who decides to accept the offer. This decision causes distress among Mashiro and the others, who feel insulted and perceive themselves as being treated as incompetent or useless by the new arrival.
