Ep. 8: Souichirou's Past and Animus's Time-Traveling Destruction Plan

Souichirou confesses his former detective career and resignation due to corruption to Yuuhi and Samidare. Animus approaches Shimaki, revealing his rejection of omnipotence and sharing a similar desire for power. After Subaru and Yukimachi spot them, Animus escapes. In a shared dream, Animus explains his origin as the God of Destruction traveling backward through time. Shimaki declines the alliance, citing his original wish to help the world. He reveals his second wish granted golem creation and summons them to attack Animus. Taiyou intervenes to stop Shimaki, having already allied with Animus. Upon waking, Shimaki conceals these events, maintaining hope for his ultimate goal of becoming an omnipotent God.
