Samidare feels uneasy around Yuuhi due to shared dreams, while Saw distrusts Yuuhi during training with Hangetsu. Hangetsu instantly falls for Hisame and defeats a new golem. Hisame reveals Hangetsu has a younger brother, Mikazuki, who attends the college but skips classes. Their father returns after a long absence to write a novel. During a drinking session, Hisame explains that Samidare was sick as a child, prompting a trip to France for research, though she recovered spontaneously. Hisame criticizes her absent father, who is eavesdropping nearby. Yuuhi and Samidare carry the drunk Hisame and Hangetsu home. The pair drunkenly claim adulthood means showing hope to youth, causing Yuuhi and Samidare to feel guilty.
