Ep. 2: Gon passes Mito's test and boards the ship with Leorio after defeating an animal show

After successfully passing a test administered by his aunt Mito using a special rod from his father, Gon receives permission to take the Hunter Exam. He travels to town to secure passage on a ship. During his stay, Gon encounters Leorio multiple times, leading to a friendship as both intend to sit for the exam. The pair team up to take down a cruel animal show. Although they nearly miss their departure, Gon’s quick thinking allows them to board the ship at the last minute, marking the beginning of their journey.
