Ep. 20: The Despicable Villain Onigumo and the Mystery Behind His Transformation into Naraku

Kaede informs Inuyasha and Miroku about a cave where she and Kikyo once nursed a severely burned thief named Onigumo. Onigumo’s obsessive desire for Kikyo allowed a yōkai to consume his body, resulting in the creation of Naraku. Naraku subsequently attacks the trio with a corrupted Rouyakan while Inuyasha is in a weakened state. The Rouyakan returns for a second encounter, now bearing a jewel shard embedded in its head by Naraku, which causes significant panic among the three characters as they face this renewed threat.
