Jewelina chases a mysterious figure to the Small Moon of Happiness, leaving Jewel Land vulnerable to increasing Unhappiness energy. A damaged flying saucer crashes at the Jewelpet Cafe, revealing Granite, a white lion who recognizes Ruby. He explains he is an alien explorer named Uchujin sent to assist. While Sapphie repairs his ship, the girls worry about Jewelina. Meanwhile, the EK Men attempt to extract energy from fans and charm Chiari, but Nene and Ruruka intervene. Sapphie purifies Unhappiness energy using her Magic Gem to fuel the ship. The girls collect more energy with vacuums, but Kosuke discovers their plan. He disguises himself to steal the saucer, eventually hijacking it while Granite installs the fuel tank. Jewelina continues her pursuit inside a cave, unaware of the unfolding crisis.
