Following another vision from his daughter Tsugumi, Hajime Shibata delves deeper into the Hell Correspondence case. He uncovers that this practice is centuries old, predating the internet by relying on newspaper advertisements. During his inquiry, Hajime encounters Fukumoto, an elderly illustrator who utilized Hell Girl to send a man to Hell fifty years ago and subsequently documented the event. Fukumoto expresses a deep fascination with Ai Enma’s appearance and anticipates a final meeting with her. He passes away after cryptically informing Hajime that he authored the story specifically for him, leaving the investigation with new, somber revelations.
