Ep. 24: Yuzuki discovers her existence is an illusion as Tsugumi reveals the truth about her death.
Aired on March 21, 2009

Yuzuki wakes to find that everyone in her school and town has forgotten her existence, with only Tsugumi retaining her memories. Tsugumi explains that she was never destined to become the Hell Girl, having abandoned her father Hajime’s hope to end the cycle of hatred. She urges Yuzuki to accept the system’s reality, concluding that Yuzuki is not from this world because her life was an illusion. Yuzuki rejects this revelation and flees, only to discover her apartment in a state of decay with a corpse lying on the floor. Ai Enma and her companions then appear, confirming that Yuzuki had actually died a long time ago.
