Yuzuki hopes to avoid her destiny as the next Hell Girl. She meets Kaito, who suffers abuse from his stepmother Nanami since she gave birth to a daughter named Mao. Kaito longs for the kindness Nanami showed before. Yuzuki discovers Kaito’s father knows of the violence but ignores it, viewing his son as an obstacle to family happiness. The father attempts to kill Kaito but stops after Kaito sends Mao to Hell. Subsequently, Nanami reverts to her former gentle personality. This outcome allows Yuzuki to witness a resolution that challenges her fears about her own future role, as the family dynamics shift following the supernatural intervention and the father’s realization of his actions.
