Apr 5, 2014In 1983, a coffin labeled DIO is recovered from the Canary Islands, leading to the disappearance of the salvage crew. Four years later in 1987, Jotaro Kujo remains imprisoned in Japan, believing he is possessed. He demonstrates this by stopping a bullet fired at his head with a spectral hand. His mother, Holly, contacts grandfather Joseph Joestar, who arrives with Mohammed Avdol. Joseph tasks Avdol with removing Jotaro, who summons a protective spirit. Joseph explains these manifestations are Stands, powered by life force. Jotaro fights back, breaking the bars, allowing Avdol to succeed. Joseph reveals the Speedwagon Foundation found the empty coffin containing Dio, who has stolen Jonathan Joestar’s body, evidenced by a shared star-shaped birthmark. Dio’s revival triggered Stand appearances in Joseph and Jotaro. The group prepares to track Dio, who senses their pursuit and vows to kill them.
EP 2Jotaro faces a deadly Stand user while a possessed nurse attacks the school.
Apr 12, 2014Jotaro falls down stairs after a mysterious cut and is helped by transfer student Noriaki Kakyoin, who unknowingly caused the accident. Jotaro later finds a death threat in Kakyoin’s handkerchief, warning of a Stand-based killing. The school nurse then attacks a student with a pen and pursues Jotaro with superhuman strength. Kakyoin reveals he used his Stand, Hierophant Green, to possess the nurse. Jotaro extracts the Stand, causing severe internal damage to the nurse, and withstands an Emerald Splash attack. Declaring himself the judge of evil Stand users, Jotaro defeats Kakyoin. He takes the unconscious Kakyoin to Joseph and Avdol, who explain that Kakyoin was forced to serve Dio and has a deadly implant in his forehead.
EP 3Jotaro Extracts Kakyoin's Flesh Bud and the Group Heads to Egypt to Find Dio
Apr 19, 2014Joseph explains that Kakyoin is controlled by a flesh bud in his brain. Avdol reveals he once escaped a similar curse. Jotaro uses his Stand to carefully remove the bud while it defends itself. Joseph destroys the extracted bud with Hamon. The next day, Avdol finds Holly collapsed with a rose vine Stand that is killing her due to her lack of willpower. Jotaro and Joseph fear this is her fate. Joseph states that killing Dio is the only way to save Holly. Jotaro analyzes photos of Dio to identify a fly. Avdol determines the fly is from Aswan, Egypt, where Dio is hiding. Kakyoin joins the search, having learned Holly has fifty days to live. Joseph contacts the Speedwagon Foundation for Holly's care. Avdol names Jotaro's Stand Star Platinum using Tarot cards. The group flies to Egypt. Dio, using a Stand similar to Hermit Purple, photographs their location. Joseph senses Dio's presence on the plane and becomes cautious.

Joseph discovers the pilots are dead, leaving the plane uncontrollable over the ocean. Gray Fly taunts them about being far from Egypt before dying. Joseph lands the aircraft safely near Hong Kong. The group decides to travel by sea to avoid endangering others. At a restaurant, a French tourist joins them, revealing himself as one of Dio’s assassins who intends to kill Avdol first.

Shedding his armor for increased speed and afterimages, Polnareff is ultimately defeated by Avdol’s Cross Fire Hurricane Special. Facing death, Polnareff refuses a knife to end his life. Avdol, impressed by his chivalry, releases him and discovers a flesh bud controlling Polnareff, which Jotaro removes. Polnareff reveals his motive: seeking revenge on a Stand user with two right hands who killed his sister, Cherie. Believing this culprit works for Dio, he joins the Joestar group to aid their journey to Egypt.

Although Star Platinum defeats the Stand initially, acorn barnacles drain its power, forcing Jotaro into the ocean. Trapped by an underwater whirlpool and razor scales, Jotaro uses Star Finger to destroy Dark Blue Moon and kill the user. The impostor’s bombs then explode, compelling the group and crew to flee on lifeboats where they encounter a large freighter.

Anne becomes concerned by Forever’s intelligent actions before he escapes, kills the sailors, and corners her. Jotaro saves Anne and fights Forever, who disappears into the hull. Jotaro realizes the ship is a powerful Stand named Strength. Forever taunts Jotaro with total control over the vessel, but Jotaro throws a jacket button. Enraged, Forever lunges, allowing Jotaro to use Star Platinum to strike his skull with a Star Finger. Defeated, Strength vanishes, shrinking the ship. Enya informs Dio that six Stand users remain, including her son. The group arrives in Singapore after four days and checks into a hotel, unaware of a mysterious doll waiting in their room.

Polnareff suffers an unexplained leg cut and later finds himself strapped under his bed by a doll possessed by Devo. Trapped and partially blinded, Polnareff struggles as Silver Chariot cannot target unseen enemies, resulting in a hotel staff member's death. While Polnareff handles the aftermath with legal aid, Joseph uses Hermit Purple on a television to reveal a message warning of a traitor among them, specifically naming Kakyoin as Dio's servant. Dio then taunts Joseph before exploding the TV, causing Joseph and Avdol to suspect Kakyoin, who is currently with Jotaro and Anne.

May 31, 2014Jotaro and Anne suspect Kakyoin is compromised after witnessing bizarre behavior like eating beetles and licking a cherry. When Jotaro punches the suspect on a balcony, he reveals Rubber Soul, a Dio assassin disguised via his Stand Yellow Temperance. The Stand consumes flesh and can mimic any form. During their fight on cable cars, Anne alerts Joseph and Avdol, and the real Kakyoin arrives. Rubber Soul notes slime transferred to Jotaro’s hand will eat his flesh. After fire and ice fail, Jotaro drags Rubber Soul into the sea to force him to lower his guard. Interrogated, Rubber Soul names the next Stands: Death, the Empress, the Emperor, and the Hanged Man, the latter belonging to J. Geil. Jotaro defeats Rubber Soul using a water blast through a pipe. The group continues to India, where Jotaro is surprised by Kakyoin’s identical cherry-licking habit, while Anne secretly follows in the next train car.

Just before the shot hits, Avdol arrives and realizes the bullet is returning. The Hanged Man pursues them through reflective surfaces, forcing a crash. They realize the Stand jumps between reflections, including a young boy's eyes. Polnareff kicks sand into the boy's eyes to force the Stand into his own eye, striking it. This leads them to J. Geil, but the man is a decoy. J. Geil uses beggars to trap them, jumping the Stand between their eyes. Kakyoin flips a gold coin to distract everyone, allowing Polnareff to destroy the Stand and kill J. Geil.
