Kimba protects an eagle nest from a panther, earning the trust of Martha after she sees him save Myu. Despite Martha's initial hesitation, Kimba resolves to help Myu learn to fly. At Marody's cliff, Marody questions this effort but shares the tale of Gamera, a legendary bird who flew using willpower and red feathers. Myu wanders toward Stone Mountain to find Gamera, with Kimba following. They encounter a figure claiming to be Gamera, who is actually Martha in disguise near hot springs. Myu bravely takes a feather and flies independently. The group then meets the real Gamera, who was merely protecting his young from danger. This misunderstanding leads Kimba to understand the true meaning of destiny.
