Ep. 33: Pagoola Leads His Herd to Panja's Jungle to Escape Poachers
Aired on May 17, 1990

33
After poachers slaughter many herd members for their tusks, Pagoola guides the survivors to Panja's jungle for safety. He recalls Kimba's words that the jungle is a sanctuary, choosing protection over combat. His son Bizo views this caution as cowardice. When humans pursue them into the jungle, Kimba hides the threat from the wounded elephants. Pagoola hears gunfire, investigates, and drives the poachers' truck off a cliff, saving the group but losing his left horn. He then yields leadership to Bizo and they both depart the jungle.
