Mikage and her husband request Jubei II's defeat by kidnapping Sai and Koinosuke to compel Jiyu to exchange the Eyepatch for the hostages. Upon wearing the item, Mikage experiences intense burning. Recalling that her mother felt hot before dying, Jiyu instinctively intervenes and rips the Eyepatch off, revealing a smoky form. Jiyu observes that despite their resemblance, Mikage is not her mother. She then transforms and defeats them.
