Nambu orders the Science Ninja Team to patrol Point G in the southern Pacific Ocean to avoid enemy detection while he constructs a secret base. When the God Phoenix encounters a sea anemone mecha, it deploys a smoke screen and retreats. Unbothered by the night patrol, Jinpei pilots the G-4 underwater to improve his standing among the team, who consider him the least popular member. He searches for the mecha without realizing he is being followed. Upon discovering a construction site, Jinpei is captured, but the base explodes before he can contact Ken. The God Phoenix destroys the mecha, allowing Kattse to escape. Jinpei blames himself for the destruction, but Nambu reveals the base was merely a decoy. The team served as bait to draw out the enemy, while the true base remains hidden beneath a mobile crescent coral reef.
