An uprising in Assham prompts the Science Ninja Team to investigate a leader shot by a confusion ray. Ken and Jinpei discover the national birds are robots that attack them with the ray. Ken saves Jinpei but is captured by the Peacock Devil, who destroys his hidden car. The team mourns Ken after a broadcast shows his destruction, but the mecha reappears. The God Phoenix battles the enemy and is hit by the ray. Ken escapes the wreckage, damages the mecha's hull, and instructs Joe to launch a timed rocket. The explosion destroys the machine, and Ken survives. Jun returns his boomerang as the team celebrates his survival.
