Ep. 10: Keima manipulates Shiori into speaking by provoking her anger over book comments.

Shiori feels embarrassed by her previous words and attempts to leave, but Keima’s remark about the uselessness of books triggers her anger, causing her to call him stupid before departing. Keima later explains to Elsie that he intentionally provokes Shiori to help her overcome her inability to speak normally due to shyness, a trait that led her to explore books as compensation. The library committee plans to add a media room, prompting Shiori to struggle with voicing her opinion. She later observes Keima writing in a library book, believing he is correcting it, which upsets her. When she catches him writing again, she realizes he is using his own book. This leads to her speaking out loud until Keima points it out. He then introduces himself, and seeing her improved communication, he resolves to capture her heart after finding a notice about disposing books for the new media room.
