Ep. 8: Elsie’s Hellish Cake Mishap and Keima’s Guilty Consumption

Elsie attempts to bake a strawberry cake for Keima after Chihiro Kosaka’s advice, but misreads the recipe and uses dangerous ingredients, releasing a mandragon that destroys the home economics classroom. Meanwhile, Keima’s English teacher Ichiro Kodama chases the creature after a gym class argument. The mandragon arrives at the Katsuragi residence, dropping the cake before being eaten by Elsie’s earlier lunch creation, which scares Kodama away. Keima returns home, finds the cake, and eats it out of guilt. Mari mistakes him for a thief and strikes him with a vase. When Elsie returns, Keima claims he dislikes sweets, disappointing her despite his consumption.
