Ep. 1: Nanami Becomes a God

Homeless high school student Nanami Momozono receives a kiss from Mikage, the Land God, which transfers his divine mark to her forehead. This act makes her the new deity of a rundown shrine where Tomoe, a fox yokai, refuses to serve her. Shrine spirits Onikiri and Kotetsu explain Nanami's new duties, including recording human prayers, and take her to the World Over Yonder to find Tomoe. After Tomoe expresses disinterest, Nanami returns to the shrine but is chased by a demon hag in the forest. To escape the threat, she forcibly kisses Tomoe, creating a binding contract that makes him her familiar.
