Ep. 5: Narukami steals Nanami's mark and shrinks Tomoe, causing shrine decay until spirits restore order.

Narukami, the God of Thunder, becomes distraught upon discovering that Nanami, a human, has become the new Land God, a role she previously desired for herself. To claim Tomoe as her familiar, Narukami tracks Nanami to her school, steals her deity mark, and transforms Tomoe into a child. Kurama finds the pair outside and takes them to his home, where Nanami cares for a feverish Tomoe. Meanwhile, Narukami is horrified to see her shrine deteriorating due to Tomoe's absence. The following day, shrine spirits summon Tomoe to Narukami, leaving Nanami in tears. With assistance from Kurama, Onikiri, and Kotetsu, Nanami returns to the shrine, where Tomoe hides. After Nanami locates Tomoe in his pocket mirror, the spirits return the deity mark to Nanami and restore Tomoe to his normal form. Tomoe then kisses Nanami to reconfirm their familiar bond as a gesture of gratitude for her help.
