Ep. 2: Nanami faces threats from a yokai transfer student while managing school life.

Tomoe advises Nanami to boost her divine power by answering prayers, leading to excitement when pop star Shinjūrō Kurama transfers to her school. Tomoe permits Nanami to attend only if she wears a hood to hide a deity mark visible to spirits. Nanami becomes depressed after discovering Kurama’s rude behavior, and is later falsely accused of stealing his money. Tomoe intervenes dramatically to clear Nanami’s name and provides lunch. The following day, Nanami refuses to wear the hood and rejects Kurama. He confronts her on the roof, prompting her to leave. Tomoe identifies Kurama as a crow tengu yokai attempting to usurp Nanami’s role as Land God. She wounds his face, transforms him into an ostrich, and chases him. Nanami orders Tomoe to restore Kurama to human form and tends to his injury, advising him to maintain a good appearance for the girls.
