Ep. 5: Kyouko and her father watch video messages from her mother to move forward.

Kyouko attempts to persuade her father to visit her mother's grave but fails. At the library, she explains to Youta that her father has been a recluse since her mother's death. Hina convinces Youta to help bring Kyouko's father out of his house. Youta succeeds by claiming he needs assistance buying a birthday present for Kyouko. The group visits several restaurants. Kyouko's father then reveals that his wife left video messages and asks Youta and Hina to keep this secret from Kyouko. Hina uses Youta's phone to impersonate Kyouko's mother, mentioning the videos during the call. Kyouko rushes home and watches the messages with her father. In the final message, her mother uses a grand magic spell to wish them happiness and encourages them to move forward. They agree to do so. That night, Kyouko visits Youta to thank him, but he does not confess his feelings, frustrating Hina.
