Ep. 12: Kazuma confronts Ōba while Toshihiko persuades Jin Kakinoki to join their cause.

Kazuma rushes to battle Ōba alone after consuming Knife, who begged for death. He learns Ōba’s medicine created Shokujinki and that Rie entered the building to retrieve the Kifūken. Meanwhile, Toshihiko struggles to convince Rie’s stepfather, Jin Kakinoki, who remains broken by his past. Kazuma finds a fatally injured Rie, who dies in his arms, causing him to transform and devour her body. Shocked but driven by revenge, he attacks Ōba but falls into a trap where his arms are severed and attached to his legs. Toshihiko and the group arrive after securing Jin’s aid. Kazuma dies in Toshihiko’s arms, leading to a final battle between Toshihiko and Ōba.
