Shin escorts Sizilien to school and, advised by Augustus, creates the Ultimate Magic Study Group, which the class joins. Meanwhile, Diseum investigates rising demon sightings, and Kurt’s father withdraws him from the academy after Kurt rants about commoners and Shin. Thor explains Kurt’s radical change occurred after visiting the exiled blind teacher Mr Schtrom, who casts a spell on him. Shin accidentally reveals he killed a demon at age 10. When Kurt transforms into a Demonoid and attempts to destroy the Academy, Shin forces his friends to flee. To stop the catastrophic spell, Shin is forced to kill Kurt by severing his head. Augustus warns that destroying a Demonoid will bring fame and future difficulties.
