Grieving her father's death, Cagalli shows Kira a photograph given by Lord Uzumi, depicting a woman with two infants and their names on the back. On the PLANT, Lacus remains a fugitive for treason but transmits messages to oppose Patrick Zala's propaganda. She learns that Zala assassinated her father. Simultaneously, Muruta Azrael prepares to launch into space to capture the Freedom or Justice, believing they contain a valuable secret. At the same time, Natarle Badgiruel, the former CCO of the Archangel, receives a new assignment. The episode highlights the escalating tensions and personal losses affecting key figures on both sides of the conflict.
