Ep. 12: Inosuke attacks Tanjiro while Zenitsu unknowingly defeats a demon during sleep
Inosuke Hashibira fights the tsuzumi demon Kyogai but is separated from Tanjiro when the shifting rooms knock him out. He attacks Tanjiro, claiming his swords are designed to shred flesh, before falling into another room. Meanwhile, Zenitsu travels with Shoichi, who is frightened by Zenitsu’s cowardice. A scream attracts a second demon, causing Zenitsu to faint, only to wake up and realize he has killed it using Thunder Form while asleep. Inosuke effortlessly defeats a third demon using Beast Form. Kyogai seeks to consume Kiyoshi, a human with rare marechi blood, to regain his status among the Twelve Moons after being stripped of his number by Kibutsuji. Tanjiro reunites Kiyoshi with his sister Teruko. Learning that Kiyoshi’s drum movements shift the rooms, Tanjiro instructs the siblings to keep moving while he confronts Kyogai. Despite broken bones, Tanjiro analyzes the drum mechanics to counter the demon’s attacks, vowing never to give up.
