Ep. 13: Tanjiro defeats Kyogai and confronts a rogue slayer protecting Nezuko's box

Enraged by Tanjiro's refusal to surrender, Kyogai attacks erratically while recalling his past as a mocked drum composer. Despite his injuries, Tanjiro maintains Water Breathing, decapitating the demon. As Kyogai fades, he weeps upon hearing Tanjiro acknowledge his art, even though he is condemned for his murders. Tanjiro collects Kyogai's blood in a vial and entrusts it to Tamayo's cat. Outside, he finds Zenitsu being kicked by a rogue Demon Slayer who had been guarding Nezuko's box. The rogue reveals he knew about the demon but believed Tanjiro's kindness justified it. Tanjiro defends Zenitsu and engages the swordsman in combat.
