Ep. 16: Tanjiro and Inosuke face controlled slayers and a headless demon doll while Mother meets her end.

Murata stays behind to delay controlled slayers, allowing Tanjiro and Inosuke to pursue Mother. They encounter a female slayer who begs for help after being forced to kill comrades. Rui warns Mother to hurry before informing Father, causing her terror. She violently manipulates the slayer’s body, breaking bones, while another injured slayer pleads for death. Tanjiro and Inosuke disable the female slayer by tangling her in branches. Mother then snaps the necks of the remaining enemies. Zenitsu searches the mountain for Nezuko. A massive headless demon doll with blade arms attacks the duo. Inosuke nearly dies until Tanjiro intervenes, and they destroy the doll together. Inosuke launches Tanjiro toward Mother. She accepts his strike to escape Father’s threats, warning him that a Twelve Moon member is on the mountain.
