Hajime explains the poisoning mystery to Masumi, who feigns innocence before being captured by Burial Francs. As Kenmochi learns that data discs have been stolen, a burial dress for Sayako Kiriyama arrives. Masumi wakes in a locked room with a gun and Kiriyama’s body, recognizing Burial Francs’ perfume and suspecting Yuri Kimasawa. When the group enters, Masumi shoots Kimasawa, comparing her actions to a mother bird destroying her eggs. Hajime argues Masumi was framed, but Kenmochi disagrees. Later, Yuke finds the hotel wine is fake, allowing Hajime to deduce how Kiriyama was killed.
