Hajime presents his theory to Youko Kafuraki's staff, identifying Yasuoga as the Puppet Clown's accomplice who was subsequently murdered. He claims the Clown manipulated Reika regarding the death date and accuses Yasuoga's wife, Manami, of being the culprit. Manami confesses, revealing she was a former actress whose career ended after thugs assaulted her, an act orchestrated by Yasuoga to force marriage and advance his corporate standing. Seeking revenge, she poisoned herself with tea after the confession. Later, Kafuraki company Secretary Kobuchizawa calls Hajime, revealing himself as the Puppet Master from Hell Yoichi Takato, who manipulated Manami and administered the poison. Hajime vows to apprehend him in honor of his grandfather.
