Malduk, aided by Maria, kills the Black Edge but retreats as the Orvelia army approaches, leaving Riheet and Ripine as the sole survivors. Kasel wakes from a two-week coma following his conflict with Malduk. Worried about his mental stability, he resolves to strengthen his mind and heart to properly wield the Holy Sword Eia. Kaulah warns Frey that Kasel might die fighting the Dark Lord. This news causes Frey to worry deeply about Kasel. She strives to do her best to change his fate and prevent his potential death in the upcoming battle.
